Railway recruitment board, Muzaffarpur is situated in north Bihar and it is controlled by railway ministry of India. The railway recruitment board, Muzaffarpur directs recruits the technical and non-technical of group “C” staff for Indian railways. Initially railway recruitment board, Muzaffarpur was known as railway service commission, Muzaffarpur, and fifth railway service commission in India and it was established in 1973 later on this railway service commission were renamed as Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in 1985.

Organization: The RRB is headed by the Chairman and assisted by Assistant Secretary with small team of Gr. C and Gr. D staff to run the RRB office.
Selection process: – as per railway ministry norms RRB, Muzaffarpur notify the the vacancy through employment newspaper, Rojgaar samachaar and official website of the Indian railways. Then after, application form is filled by the eligible candidate by online application form applying process through internet. The received applications are scrutinized for eligibility and the prima-facia eligible candidates are called for a written examination vide call letters sent to a month in advance of the date of examination. The eligibility of the candidate is examined at different stage and the candidature of the candidate may be cancelled at any stage even thereafter empanelment. The question paper is being printed in English, Hindi & Urdu and in other languages if necessary. The examination will be held generally in Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga. But if the no of candidates is in greater number, exam may be conducted at other nearest places also. By means of RRB selection process norms candidate is finally selected for the relevant post then after relevant training is provided so that after completion the training trained new comer staff could join their job in fear free manner.
