7 Easy steps to register and book ticket through IRCTC eWallet:

  1. Login to IRCTC with your existing IRCTC user id and password.
  2. Click the “IRCTC eWallet Registration” link under IRCTC eWallet Section in the “Plan my travel” page.
  3. Complete Verification process by providing PAN CARD No. and other details.
  4. Deposit one time registration fee of Rs.50/-(Inclusive of Service Tax of 14 %, Swachh Bharat Cess of 0.5 % and Krishi Kalyan Cess of 0.5%) online with any of the available payment options.
  5. Membership fee and Redemption is subject to change at the discretion of IRCTC.
  6. Credit the IRCTC eWallet account with the minimum deposit of Rs.100/- and top up with the required booking amount. Maximum amount permitted in user’s account is Rs. 10,000.
  7. Pay ticket booking amount through IRCTC eWallet which is displayed as payment option along with other Banks.

Salient features of IRCTC eWallet are:

  • User Authentication: IRCTC eWallet users will be verified and authenticated through their PAN card number in an Online Verification Process.

Tips for booking Tatkal ticket on IRCTC website

General waiting list (GNWL) is favoured over tatkal waiting list (TQWL) at the time of chart preparation. Therefore, booking of confirmed tatkal ticket is of utmost importance as waiting list tatkal ticket has very less chances of confirmation and tatkal tickets do not go through RAC.

Following Tips will help you in booking confirm ticket in tatkal quota through IRCTC website :-

  • Create more than one credentials for logging on to irctc website. If you have only one login details, borrow one from your friend or family. Trying to book ticket parallely using multiple browser/computer always increases chances of getting a tatkal ticket. DO NOT use same irctc login details on multiple browsers simultaneously as irctc can detect it and log you out from all sessions.
  • Make sure tatkal quota for your journey opens one day in advance. It might open two or more days in advance, if the train reaches your boarding station on second or more days of its running. For example, if you want to book tatkal ticket from Nagpur to chennai in Chennai Rajdhani Express (12434), the tatkal booking opens 2 days in advance in this case from your journey date as the train reaches Nagpur on 2nd day of running.
  • Keep Id card details such as PAN card or driving license of one of the passengers handy. This way you do not have to search for it after you have started the booking process.
  • Save some time by entering passenger details beforehand. Fill passenger details before 10am for ac class and before 11am for non-ac class, you need not fill them again and save a couple of minutes this way which increases your probability of getting confirmed tatkal ticket. This is how you should do so:Login into the irctc website 5-10 minutes ago and do these before 10am for ac ticket and 11am for non-ac ticket.Select origin destination, choose date as today’s date and enter ticket type and click on ‘Find Trains’. Now select quota as TATKAL and click on BOOK NOW for today’s date for any train.Enter passenger details including id card details and mobile number. Now instead of clicking on ‘Next’ which will take you to payment, click on ‘Replan’ which takes to back to the ‘Plan My Journey’ page.Exactly at 10am (or at 11am for FC, SL and 2S) put your correct journey date and try booking. When you come on Passenger Details page, you will see that all the details which you entered before are still there. So just enter the captcha and click on ‘Next’ for payment.
  • For AC classes, try booking in 2A (second ac) first. For most of the routes, 2A gets filled less quickly than 3A in spite of lesser berths.
  • Avoid trying to book ticket on trains for which tatkal tickets have already exhausted. Keep checking parallely current berth availability for tatkal quota on trainman.
  • Make payment using netbanking (preferable by HDFC or ICICI bank) as this is the fastest mode of payment. If you choose to pay by cards you need to enter long card numbers and lot of other details which takes time. Since irctc has made OTP verification mandatory so one should keep their phone nearby to get OTP details from phone.
  • If you are not able to book tatkal ticket for ac classes, you can try your luck for non-ac classes at 11am again.

To ease your pain booking train tickets online, IRCTC has launched e-Wallet scheme for all customers. Through this service, customers can now deposit money under IRCTC account and use that for booking train tickets, avoiding the long hesitating procedure to pay through bank’s payment gateway.

IRCTC e-Wallet scheme works just like any other e-Wallet service, where customers need to deposit money to their IRCTC account and use it up at the time of train ticket booking. Currently customers booking train tickets has to go through the hassle of making payment by going to their respective Credit/Debit Card or Net-banking payment gateway and then wait to get back to IRCTC website after the payment approval. The waiting to get back to IRCTC website after payment causes the trouble of session timeout or others eventually failing to book a ticket.

While the new e-Wallet scheme allows to bypass all this hassle, you just need to fill up your account with money and then when booking tickets pay using it. No going through the payment gateway and no wait for return, success rate for booking train ticket will be surely high.

  • NOTE: Users can deposit amount in multiple of Rs 100 only. The amount should be less than the maximum limit of Rs 5000 and all deposited money to e-Wallet is non-refundable.

e-Wallet Scheme is one of the best initiative by IRCTC, but if it serves the purpose is still doubt. As IRCTC won’t allow ticket booking through e-Wallet during 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM which is the peak hours of ticket booking, especially the Tatkal ticket booking. So restricting the use of e-Wallet during the hours when customers need service the most defeats the overall purpose of e-Wallet. Hope IRCTC will rethink on its restriction on e-Wallet during the peak hours.

• eWALLET is a scheme under which user can deposit money in advance with IRCTC and can be used as payment option along with other payment options available on IRCTC for paying money at the time of booking tickets.

• eWALLET registration and booking through eWALLET is not available from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

eWallet Registration

• Login by entering your Username and Password.

• The “Plan my travel” page appears.

• Link will appear for eWallet Registration.

• Click on “Click to register now!” link for eWallet registration.

• After clicking on ‘eWallet registration’ link user will be redirected to verify his PAN Card number and below screen will be shown.

Fill the PAN Card Number and the First name written on the PAN Card.

 

  • After the verification of user’s PAN Card number, payment page will appear for payment of eWallet Registration fee:

  • Create a Transaction Password required at the time of booking and reconfirm the same password in the textbox provided.

 

  • Select the Bank for the payment of Registration Fee from the dropdown list of payment options available.

 

  • Registration Fee is non-refundable.

 

  • After successful payment, the User will be logged out and a successful registration message is provided.

eWallet Deposit

 

  • Login by entering your user name and password.

 

  • To deposit the amount in the eWallet account click to ‘eWallet DEPOSIT’ link on the left navigation bar. Select option and fill the amount to be deposited and reconfirm the same account. The amount should be more than the minimum amount and less than the maximum limit.

 

  • Select the payment option from dropdown list and Click on submit button for payment.

 

 

  • User can deposit minimum amount of Rs. 100/- and maintain maximum amount of Rs.10000/- in account.

 

  • User can deposit amount in multiple of Rs.100/- only.

 

  • Deposit amount is non-refundable.

 

After the successful deposit, successful payment message will be provided

  • To check the status of deposit eWallet account, click ‘DEPOSIT HISTORY’ link on the left navigation bar. Enter the profile password and click ‘Go’ button.

 

  • User will be redirected to ‘Deposit History’ page where status of all the eWallet Deposit Amount will be provided.

Candidates, visit the RRB official site – rrbonlinereg.in/. Click on ‘New Registration’ link.
Select RRB Region.
Fill all the required details. make sure you fill every detail right because after submission you may not be able to change it again or have to go through the different procedure.
Click on Continue/ Submit Button.
After submission of RRB Online Application Form 2017, User ID and Password will be sent on your Mail ID. you may get OTP as well. make sure you save the ID and password for further procedure.

Step 2.
complete the Education Qualification details precisely because these details can vary as the post changes.

Step 3.
After completing above process you have to submit the application form with fee. it should be noted that the application fee must pay by net banking services. It requires either of the debit card, credit card and now the latest you can also use Bhim app to pay online fees.

Step 4.
The next step will be uploading of your passport size Photo and Signature at the required box within required size. the dimension will be available in the application form. Submit the online form and keep a copy of it with you for future references.

The Indian Railways has taken some steps this Wednesday for the convenience of passengers at the railway stations as well as trains. After the chaos of demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes by the Central government, the railways have set up a separate special cell to monitor transactions pertaining high value at the ticket counters. The passengers are asked to carry a PAN Card for making transactions above Rs 50,000.

Not only this, the railway Minister Suresh Prabhu also announced that they have instructed authorized caterers who work with Indian Railway to accept 500 and 1000 rupee notes from passengers on the trains as well as at the railway stations.

Since a lot of people were queuing for platform tickets worth Rs.10 and giving a 1000 rupee note for it, Mr. Prabhu announced that platform ticket counters would not accept 500 or 1000 rupee notes for such small transactions.

In order to keep a track of transactions of at the railway ticket counters, unusually high-value transactions all over India are being updated every two hours. This information was given by Mohammad Jamshed who is the Railway Board Member. He also said that making PAN Cards mandatory for transactions worth 50,000 INR or more has helped in the tracking process. For example, the rate of tickets for the first class coaches on Delhi-Chennai route could amount to something around 56,000 INR.

Jamshed also said that Indian Railway is taking efforts to ensure that no passengers face inconvenience in booking tickets and 500 and 1000 rupee notes are accepted at all the counters. Although, he did mention that the number of people coming with 500 and 1000 rupee note is high in an unusual way. As a result, there has been a problem with notes of the lower denomination at the ticket counters. However, this problem has also been solved because instructions from the Finance Ministries have been issued to get notes of the smaller denomination from the RBIs regional offices. Henceforth, enough reserves of smaller currencies will be available at the railway ticket counters.

From all around the world, the total number of healthy workplaces has now reached 79 that constitutes of a total workforce / employees of a staggering 2 million.

Indian Railways is the world’s largest employers and has employee strength of a mind-blowing 1.3 million. It was named as one of this year’s “Healthy Workplaces” and it was appreciated greatly for its commitment towards the health and wellness of its employees and staff.

Talgo is a Spanish company that manufactures standard, intercity and high-speed passenger trains that are also popularly called the “Bullet trains”. They have been quite famous in the world of trains and are known to be quite luxurious. And nowadays, luxury is not a big deal in India. All the luxury brands are setting up their franchises here in our country and nothing seems alienated anymore. Our Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is all about bringing development and international brands to invest in our railways.

He has been trying to bring this luxurious brand of trains in our country to improve the speed and make commuting between places become easy for the common man. These Talgo trains are usually quite small with very few coaches. But if we are to bring this brand to our country, their company promises to modify the trains according to our needs. Apparently, the Indian Railway plans to bring about 2- 5 Talgo trains in less than a year’s time.

Our railway ministry is waiting for an approval on the Niti Aayog before asking the company to start manufacturing the trains and lease them. Once, this approval comes through, all the formalities will take no time to complete and these trains will be running on our tracks. These trains are to run on the Shatabdi routes and will have about 26 coaches which are very much similar to the existing Shatabdi trains. The costs and budgets are not yet known. The company is to use international coaches which will be modified according to the Indian needs. The major changes highlight on the toilets, platform heights and will get the Indian taste in them. The coaches are apparently 45% lighter and 30% more energy efficient when compared to the existing trains. They aim at running at faster speeds and reduce the travel time of the passengers.
